Amurheart listened to the conversation. He had been quite annoyed when Lyra suggested not doing the raids and attacks. However, he liked what Cinderflame said, and Guerra's suggestion. "I think it's a good idea," he murmured. But I have a plan of my own, he thought. He had a plan for his attack. He glanced back at Shade, though the glance was brief. Maybe his little nephew would like to accompany him.... Amurheart thought it appropriate. Although he planned on being the one to avenge his sister in the end, Shade should be willing to help, as Sunspot was his mother.
Shade looked at the ground as his grandfather nodded to him and passed, a bit embarrassed. He didn't think he'd done much for his grandfather to be proud of.... But he was glad that Guerra noticed him, and his achievements -- even the little ones. At least my grandparents notice my existence, he thought as he looked ahead at his uncle. He noticed that the huge Maotu looked over his shoulder at him. Shade felt a chill go up his spine as his uncle's icy blue eyes met his golden ones. His backbone tingled even after Amurheart looked ahead again. What had he been thinking? Shade had no idea, for those eyes showed no emotion, revealed no ideas, expressed nothing. They were just cool, full of dislike for everything. Shade knew that he was like his uncle; he looked like him (they were the same shape), Shade had his stripes on the front half of his body, neither liked to talk much.... Shade felt a bit uneasy knowing this, and yet... he wanted Amurheart to notice him. Despite the fact that he thought his uncle was a bit scary at times, he admired him. Amurheart was strong, smart, mysterious.... He wished Amurheart would notice him, act like he existed.... He wanted to get to know his uncle, his mother's brother. He knew that Amurheart wanted nothing more thant to avenge Sunspot. Shade wondered what Amurheart thought when he saw him. He knew that his fur was the same color as his mother's, just with a dark overlay. He knew that he had his mother's eyes.... Did Amurheart think of her when he saw him? Maybe that was why Amurheart never talked to Shade, and pretended that he didn't exist. It hurt to look at him.

Lyra noticed that Cinderflame was being a bit quiet, so she took it upon herself to complement her mate on his fine idea.
"Perfect!" She replied, thinking about how awful she would feel if they took Cinderflame captive. It nearly killed her. "We can sneak up on them whilst they're alone, then take them! Oh, oh, And then we can starve them and tear them up a bit, then take them and show their packmates what we're capable of! And then steal more and more of them, but not too many, and maybe when we win this war, we can enslave the wolves?" She blabbered, rage flaming in her minty eyes.
Guerra was a bit taken aback by how evil his mate could be. He had only thought of public torture to the wolves, but that idea seemed much better. He continued brainstorming with her.
"Maybe we could dig a hole down in the ground, maybe find a rock to put infront of it, though it would need gaurded all the time. He had a devious smile on his face as he could on his face. But he remembered the intence heat. Why should the wolves be in the cool ground and the great cats be left in the sun? If only there was a way to cage them withought a roof...
"No, no, we could make them sit in the sun all day... We could dig a deep hole, like deeper that the length of a cat, and then just drop them in..." He said, grinning and old, toothy smile.

ooc - Should we actually have the cats capture the leaders of the packs? That could be interesting...
Shukka snorted and rolled his eyes. What kind of pansy idea is that? he grumbled. Capturing them and running away to torture them without a fight... thats no fun. Sure, it might demoralize the wolves, but then we'll need to attack them to finish them off. That there is my role. Then suddenly Shukka lifted his great head and pricked his red ears. He caught the faint scent of growing things on the wind, and on the horizon he could see the sliver of green that was the begining of the forest. He picked up the pace slightly, eager to get into the shade.

||I like the idea. Hey, could we take one of the Senya pack's largest fighters, too? *hint* Amurheart would have loads of fun.... *grins mischeviously*||
Amurheart continued to listen. He liked what he was hearing.... Although he would have prefferred to stay silent, he decided he would offer his opinions.
"If we dig a hole deep enough to prevent them from escaping, they won't be in the sun, anyway. Only when the sun's directly above them. Before and after noon, the sides of the hole will block the sunlight," he said, although his voice was kind of quiet, as usual.
Shade listened to the conversation ahead of him. He glanced at Darkrose and Sorrelkill. He was beginning to like the older cats' plans. He wondered what the other trainees thought of them. As his large paws grazed the sand, he caught a strange scent. It had a fresh tang to it, and the breeze that carried it was cool -- or, at least cooler than the desert winds. Were they approaching the forest?

[((Ha, I love Shukka.))
color=FFD700]Lyra was annoyed with the ebon cat. He seemed so war-bound. Lyra assumed that he was jealous of their ideas, though she sort of knew he was interested in the battle. She rolled her eyes and sighed in annoyance.
'These young cats, think we're old and crazy. They don't know battle tactics at all.'
Amurheart pointed out a good point. So if they were going to trape them, they would have to bury them.[/color]
Guerra was happy that his tribe actually consisted of some smart cats. Half of him wanted to slaughter Shukka then and there, but that would be a waste of a powerfull cat.
He smiled a bit, then looked at Amurheart. "Aye, then should we just dig a hole? Might be a bit of a luxury, if you ask me."

"Exactly," Amurheart said. "If you dug a hole, I would jump in it, if my choices were go in the hole or stay up here where the sun bakes us all day. I think we should stick them in a place where the sun's always on them." The tiger-like Maotu was eager to bring the most discomfort to the wolves possible.

Black fur gleamed in the sunlight as Cinderflame nodded enthusiastically. "Capturing the leaders is a good plan..." His tail-tip twitched slightly. We've had to live under the burning sun for seasons... why shouldn't they get a taste of what they've inflicted upon us? But how would they get them to stay in the sunlight all the time? Perhaps they could bury just the wolves' legs in the sand, or put rocks on their backs. Having several Kavari guard them all the time would be impractical, so they needed a trap that the wolves wouldn't get out of easily...

((We should definately make a list of all the wolves that will be taken. I definately want Zephos taken. And Raze too, just cause he's an alpha. Cora too, I want to see Amurheart happy. xD. Those are all the definate ones that I want. Maybe Jillian. And... Also... Um... Anyone else. xD))
"Exactly," Amurheart said. "If you dug a hole, I would jump in it, if my choices were go in the hole or stay up here where the sun bakes us all day. I think we should stick them in a place where the sun's always on them."
Amurheart was a wise one, definately.
"Ha, Why don't we dig a hole for ourselves?" Guerra joked. He got serious in an instant.
"There's really no way to contain them with the sun on them... We can't make a fence, because if it's good enough to keep them in, its big enough to block out sun. I guess we could maybe paralize them? Stick rocks on their feet? Maybe break their legs?" he asked.

"Breaking their legs would probably work best. I'd be willing to stand in the blazing sun all day if it meant I could torture those wolves...." Amurheart said. The second sentence was quiet, but incredibly dark -- and sincere. Amurheart liked the idea of bringing pain to the wolves. He saw the face of that fleabag wolf that killed his sister. He would find that wolf and torture it. He wouldn't kill it, but by the time he was finished with it, it would be wishing it was dead.

Guerra smiled visiously. He liked the idea of setting other wolves lame after what they did to him. He almost felt like growling in happyness.
Lyra smiled, too. The idea of letting them lay in the sun all day sounded nice. The scent of the forest was closer now, but there still was no real plan.
"So, should we just go catch as many as we can, then bring them back here and break their legs?" She asked deviously.

"Or maybe just their leaders? And their strongest fighters," Amurheart suggested. "That way the weaker ones are left scared, helpless, and leaderless." The massive cat's nose twitched as he noticed the fresh tang of the forest, and the edge of the trees ahead.

ooc - Ok, so Raze, Zephos, Cora, maybe one of the betas, and how about a healer? Frost maybe?
Shukka felt like sticking his head in the sand and screaming as he listened to the others talk behind him about different 'torture' methods. Who paged the idiot brigade? He wondered sarcastically. He listened for a moment about their ideas of breaking the wolves' legs, and finally couldn't take it anymore. "How about," He growled, turning his head to look at them with one of his red-orange eyes. "you just take the stupid wolves and throw them in the canyon? There's only one entrance, so if you block it, they can't get out." The canyon walls were steep and impossible to climb, and it was wide enough so the sun hit it's bottom at all angles.
Sorrelkill was getting a bit nervous about the talk of kidnap and torture. For a cold blodded killer, he didn't much like the talk of torturing anyone to death. But, his more reasonable side said, it would be good tactics to kidnap their leaders and improtant fighters.
ooc - OMG that was the most fun I've had rping Shukka in a long time. XD P.S. - Alex quoted Shukka! *spazz*

P.S. Back: No problem, it's hilarious!!!
Lyra was getting serious agitated with this cat, and looking to Guerra, he looked like he wanted to skin him then and there. But he did make sence. The Canyon was in-escapable, not to mention barren. The ground was rocky and cracked, so no water.
Lyra decided to ignore his rudeness. She just smiled at him in the old lady way and said a grateful:
"Good idea." To him.
Guerra was fuming, and he gave Shukka his best death look. It was more like a warning; Guerra wouldn't gedrade himself to attack him, but he could've fooled anyone.
Guerra looked to his mate oddly. "Are you Ok?" He asked her, sounding concerned.
Lyra looked at him wearily. "Why?"
Guerra finished his joke. "You're never that nice unless you're furious." He said jokingly.
Lyra looked at him, forcing an angry face, though she was kidding. She bumped him on the side, pushing him a few steps.
Guerra laughed happily, his thoughts drained. He nuzzled her softly on the cheek.

||My God, he's annoying me. xD||
Amurheart narrowed his blue optics at Shukka. The two were about the same size... both very large. Amurheart was disliking Shukka even more than usual at the moment, but he silently admitted that Shukka had a good point. There would be shade in the morning and afternoon along the sides, but it would have to do. It was the most practical idea at the moment. The massive cat said nothing. He glanced at Guerra and Lyra. He silently, secretly envied the older cats. They had eachother, they had best friends. He had no one. His sister was dead, and there was no cat in this Tribe that he could talk to -- especially not a female. Amurheart was on his own. He though that he'd be lonely his whole life... and he was probably right. He envied Guerra and Lyra, but he didn't let it show. It was impossible to see in his eyes, on his face. He hid it perfectly.

He listened for a moment about their ideas of breaking the wolves' legs, and finally couldn't take it anymore. LOL! Cinderflame's eyes gleamed wickedly at Guerra's suggestion. He sank his claws into the ground, relishing the thought of wolf bones snapping in his mighty jaws.
"How about you just take the stupid wolves and throw them in the canyon? There's only one entrance, so if you block it, they can't get out."
The massive Kavari felt a growl rumble deep in his chest in reaction to Shukka's annoying tone. His eyes narrowed as he considered the huge ebony Maotu. That one's getting a little too impertinent. He did agree that it would make sense to throw the wolves in the canyon, but he didn't want to allow Shukka that victory. And it would be so much fun to break their legs...ooc- Yeah, Frost would work.
