Outside the fighters den, drowsiness swept Lucie like churning water flowing swiftly down and angry river. She had slept wonderfully the night before, so she wondered what exhausted her to this point. Maybe it was the calming sound of the waterfall that seemed to be singing a lullaby softy into her ears. Soaking up the sun, Lucie waited sleepily for a point of interest to spark her day.[/color]

On a limp, Zephos had made amazing time back to camp after the maotu attack. He was bloody and ehausted, and the battle was won, or atleast he considered it won; he was still alive, after all.
He saw no wolves in his camp except Lucie, laying lazily by the fighters den. He was unsure if she was awake or not, and right now he didn't care. He needed to lay down in his den and relax, and try and stop the bleeding from the deep gash on his shoulder, and a few other on his legs and one less intense on his paw. He was covered in blood, though, now only his own, but some from the vicious mauto.
He was sure to leave that cat with a few scratches of his own, though much less intence than the one bestowed on his shoudler. It was stiff and painful, and he would need it checked out by Frost soon. He had not the time or energy to clamber all the way up to his den, so he took a lay before the falls and began cleaning his wounds painfully.

Lucie soon smelled the familiar scent of Zephos, their alpha. She slowly lifted her head to greet her leader, when noticed he wasn't near his den, but licking his fresh wounds near the edge of the waterfall. Lucie gasped as her mind went blank and she instinctivly raced down toward the bottom of the falls. "A-are you okay?" She asked, not knowing how to feel with her alpha so injured. She looked at him with apprehensiveness filling her eyes. Of course she would be worried about her alpha's safety, and life. "How can I help?" She asked softly.

Zephos was a little surprised by her sudden jolt, but he respected the fact that she was so careing.
"A-are you okay?"
Zephos smiled a bit painfully and nodded to her, looking up at her worried eyes. "I'm fine." He re-assured, looking down and licking his paw as she spoke again.
"How can I help?"
Zephos thought it a bit humourous she was so very worried, but he did value that virtue all the same. Zephos was planning on calling an announcement when he located all his pack.
"Don't leave camp," he began, "Don't leave camp unless you have atleast three others with you." Zephos lost his smile and gazed blankly before him.
"I think another war is starting." he said, not with phisical pain, but mental pain, and fear. But if the cats wanted to be beaten again, let 'er rip.

"Oh I won't" She smiled. She sat down near Zephos head and looked at his wounds with a twisted face. "Are you SURE your OK?" She wondered. Maybe I'm getting annoying asking him if he's fine or not... she thought silently to herself. She dearly wanted to help him, at least by gathering water from the falls to wash his wounds, but she kept still, afraid she would anger him at such a vulnerable state. She kept quiet, with a blue gaze fixed upon him.

Zephos was a little mystified that she was so un-concerned about the new war, but he let it be. He continued cleaning his wounds, though the one on his shoulder was perfusely bleeding. The rest had stopped and were cleaned well. He thought back in his life.
He had once gotton a deep cut from a jagged rock as a trainee... If he could only remember what the plant looked like. Oh yes!
It was a huge leaf. It almost looked tropical. It was a reddish-orange color that the healer chewed up and pressed on the wound. It did somethings about calming the nessles that were bleeding. It stung, but did a good job and within a week the gash was healed well.
"Actually, Lucie, could you do me a favor? There's this leaf, you see, about teh size of a rabbit. Bright red-ish and grows mostly by water. There might be some behind the falls. Take the passage and see if there is any there, please?" He asked, thinking that she would be happy to help.

Lucie snapped out of her gaze quickly to her Zephos request. "Of course!" She smiled, trying to remember any thought of this leaf he spoke of while walking toward the passage behind the falls. Bright red-ish. Hmmm. Rabbit. Mhm... Suddenly remembering a time where she gathered herbs as a trainee for their healer, she thought a of big red-ish plant she had to gather, also the exact coordinates.
Racing behind the falls drenched Lucie's fur which plastered to her skin. The roar overhead drown every other sound. Frantically searching, Lucie came upon the leaf. Breaking the stems of a few leaves, Lucie quickly grabbed them in her jaws and raced out toward Zephos. "Here you go. There's about 4, do you need me for anything else?" Her voice was innocent, but pure with a sweet sound to it. She looked at Zephos, hoping she could still help him.

Zephos was impressed by her speed, but one look ar the sopping wet female gave him a laugh.
"Run straight through the falls, did you? Why would you do that?" He questioned, laughing. He took one huge leaf and chewed it up, appaled by its taste. 'How can Frost fo this?' He joked to himself as he ground them up.
Once they had become a thin paste, he spat it onto his shoulder and winced, licking it to get it deeper into the wound.
"Ouch." He breathed, containing his pain, but betraying it in his face, currently screwed up in a painful scowl.

"Are you okay?" Lucie muttered. She wasn't good with words, but she felt determined to fell more open, especially around her alpha. "Are you okay?" She repeated, but this time more loudly and more clear. Zephos seemed in so much pain, and she wanted to help him.
Lucie lay down next to him to offer the slightest bit of comfort to her distressed leader. She smiled at him and hoped his wounds would heal so he would be strong, able to fight in the war he feared was about to come.

Lucie did seem to be quite the extremist. It stung like a million bees, but nothing, especally an alpha, couldn't handle.
Eying her oddly as she questioned him, seeming very concerned, Zephos muttered a little, slightly annoyed:
"Yeah."
It was a little ridiculous how much of a fuss she was making over something so minutely small. He had barely shown his pain and she was all over him.

"I think I'm going a little crazy about all this..." Lucie muttered. She looked down at her font paws and lightly set her head down upon them. She felt as if she went way to far. Helping her alpha was the right think to do, but now she feels she annoyed him.
Slowly opening and closing her eyes she lifted herself up and looked at Zephos. "Well if your alright, then I guess I'll just go." she said softly. She stood for a moment more befoe turning aoound and padding slowly away.

Zephos rolled his eyes as she stood and turned. He noted she was overly-sensative and looked back at her, wincing as the plant mixture deepend into his shoulder as he turned and opened it.
"Wait, I could still use your company?" He called, hiding his pain lest she was still worried. He flicked his tail, a little guilty about his actions.

Lucie stopped but 10 steps from Zephos, gazing upon the waterfall. The pad of water smashing against racks at her feet seemed to lull her into a daydream.
"Wait, I could still use your company?"
Lucie priced her ears and quickly looked at her leader. Nobody really ever wanted her company since she really never talked much. "Really?" she asked faintly, nearly a wisper. Her eyes beamed with happiness. Maybe she could have a friend.

Zephos nodded to her and turned back, the pain of opening the wound nearly un-tolerable. Zephos began wondering about the other two, Frost and Aiyanna, who had come back to camp. Zephos expected they would be in Frosts' den. He perked up his head to her.
"Have you seen anyone come around camp?"

Lucie smiled as she walked over toward Zephos. Laying down next to him where she had done before, she herd him say,
"Have you seen anyone come around camp?"
She looked at him with a thoughtful look. Rembering her day, Lucie thought of nothing but laying in front of the fighters den after a successful hunt. "No, I haven't seen anyone. I went hunting earlier, came back and dozed of by the fighter's den." She replied calmly.
