Zephos nodded. They must've come while she was sleeping.
"What'd you catch?" He asked, looking around to see if he could find where she put the food.

Lucie thought. "Oh yes. I caught a VERY fat rabbit." Lucie smiled. "Theres not much left though. Would you like me to catch you something?" She offered nicely. it was the least she could be fo her injured Alpha.

Zephos shook his head as he stood stiffly, all bleeding stopped. He would need to clean off now. Turning slowly to the falls, he stood by the edge, the rivers' spray evenly coating him, as if he had jumped in. With the water, he licked his body clean of all blood and turned toward Lucie, once more.
"I'm calling an announcement." he said, his own words beating his heart faster. Most announcements were never good news. He sat before the falls, away from the fresh mist, and sniffed around. He could scent some on the plateu, and hoped his howl would be heard.
He threw back his head and howled, summoning his pack for the important messege.

Natasha's head jerked up from where she had been lying a little ways out of camp. Her breathing was heavy from tiredness and her fur still had vestiges of dried blood clinging to it from the Maotu attack. Wearily, she hauled herself to her feet and padded laboriously into camp. Twitching her ears tiredly, she saw Zephos and Lucie up by the Alpha's den. He's probably telling everyone about what happened... She thought, dragging herself over to where he and Lucie were sitting. Flopping down without a word, she began to lick off the rest of the blood on her flanks. She winced slightly as her tongue rasped over the wounds left by the Kavari.
Hearing the call, Caliber blearily opened her eyes and lifted her head. Blinking a couple of times, she jumped to her feet, shook her head to clear the sleep away, and stepped out of the fighters den and into the sunlight. Her orange and white fur shone like a tongue of flame when it was touched by the sunshine, and Caliber growled lightly in pleasure at the warm feeling. Streatching once, she bounded over to sit beneath the Alpha's den, looking up expectantly with her ears pricked.

Zephos nodded to his Beta as she clambered in. She looked about as bad as he did. He recalled how she had thrown herself at the cat first, how brave of her. Looking at her from up there, she was rather beautiful... - But! This was no time for that.
He watched as Caliber exited the fighters den soon after. She shone like a star as she exited, and Zephos couldn't take his eyes off her either.
Thinking about it, Zephos seemed tp think everyone was attractive in their own way, though he had never been in a relation ship in all his moons. He silently waited for more of his pack to attend.

||Hey Alex, would he think that about Cora? xD||
Amber optics slid irritably open as Zephos's howl rang through the Senya camp. The large she-wolf yawned, and got reluctantly to her paws. She stretched, and exited the fighters' den. She descended the rocky slope to where Zephos addressed the Pack. The sun made the red "x" on her shoulder seem brighter as she strode arrogantly over to the others, awaiting the announcement that was so important that she had to stop sleeping.
When they reached the bottom of the cliff, Jaden looked around, her jade optics taking in the camp. Natasha was covered in blood....

Trinity's heart sank as she saw Zephos, wet, but still bedraggled and scarred, as well as Natasha. Had some fight gone on? This was no time to tell Zephos her little secret.
She gazed around and the gathering wolves and saw Cora. She raised her head a bit higher, the bird's wing opening farther, showing it's large wingspan. She hoped Cora would notice.
Zephos had scarcely noticed the two trainees come from around the plateau, their catch going un-rewarded for now. She noticed Cora trudge in, as if coming out was an annoyance. Usually, Zephos tried to find the best in people, Cora was his exception.
She was obviously a vicious fighter, but she neglected her niece, not to mention the remainder of wolves in the forest. Zephos was glad to have her on his team, mostly because she scared the crap out of him.
As the wolves poured in, he gave count. He was orderly, and knew each wolf by name, and this was definatly not all of them. Frost and Aiyana were still un-accounted for, along with Moonshard and Blaqwynter.
He was considering starting without them. Frost and Aiyana would know well enough what he was about to say, and Moonshard was hopefully on her way.
He shook himself for confidence and gained his crowds' attention.
"Today, Frost, Aiyana, Blaqwynter, Natasha and I were attacked by a maotu. The cats have grown stronger since we banished them to the desert, they're more brutal." He started, articulating his speach carefully in his mind.
"The scars phisically are nothing compared to the mental wound all who have felt the loss of one killed by one of these cats." Zephos remembered all the Fighters who went down, just to keep the Senya alive. He hoped, if possible, they liked what he was saying.
"Enough small talk. There is another war starting, I'm sure. We have to be prepaired!" He continued, stopping to see how his pack was dealing so far.

Cora's auds swiveled as pawsteps sounded from nearby. Her amber eyes widened as she saw the hawk that the two trainees held. Her gaze narrowed in annoyance, and she looked back at Zephos as he spoke. A low growl sounded from the femme's throat. She displayed a toothy, vicious grin. She liked the sound of this.
Jaden halted as Zephos spoke, her jade green optics widening in terror. A... war? Against the Kavari Tribe? She knew that the wolves had won both times in the past, but so many had died....

A flick of an ear was the only indication the Frost had heard Zephos's words. The impassive grey wolf had just emerged from her den and was still sitting as close to it as possible, mind more on the wolves' many wounds then an invasion. I was there, after all. I know what happened already. She edged another pawstep closer to the piles of healing herbs that were not far away. The healer's eyes were worried as she scanned the clearing.
Moonshard walked into the camp- back from a hunting expedition- just in time to catch the Alpha's words. Her dark eyes widened minutely. The Kavari have... returned? She had been born just after the Great War, but the stories that some of the wolves had told about their enemy had been positively blood-curdling. Moving quickly and tensely with fear, the black wolf took her place among the pack.

ooc - HAW HAW ZEPHOS IS HITTIN ON 'TASHA AND CALI. D: (XD jk)
Natasha struggled to her paws as the pack started entering the clearing. It wouldn't be any good for them to see her lying on the ground, bloddy and tired. She had gotten all of the dried blood off of her fur, and now she sat beneath the Alpha's den, sitting straight and proud. Now was not a time for the pack to see her weak. She narrowed her eyes minutely as she listened to Zephos talk, and the other wolves reactions. Most of them seemed scared, and rightly so. She flicked her ears in annoyance. Why did those stupid Kavari have to come back now?
Caliber's fur bristled all along her back when she heard Zephos' words. Back? She thought, her purple eyes flashing in fear. How can that be? She didn't remember the great Maotu cats because she was too young, but she remembered the stories of the elders. They said the cats were at least twice as big as any wolf, and they had fangs like daggers. She shivered in fear as one word came to mind. War.

Aiyana limped out of the fighter's den. Her blue orbs were dull but her gray and blue fur was just as neat as it normally was. Frost couldn't quite figure out what she had done to her leg and she, herself, couldn't even tell. It wasn't broken, she could tell because she could walk on it. Perhaps she bruised one of the muscles in her leg. All she knew was that it still hurt to walk. Luckily it didn't hurt as bad as it did during the attack. She stepped near the crowd, not straying too far from the area between the fighter's den and Frost's den. she choose a spot and laid herself down, running her tongue over her injured leg. All the while she listened to Zephos words intently. She made no comments or any sounds of aggreement. She merely stopped 'massaging' her leg and glanced around the clearing. She wasn't sure what thoughts were running through her fellow pack members' minds but the looks of their orbs and fur said they were a little scared.

Zephos watched as some of the last of his pack were entering, glad they came so quickly. He saw Aiyanna licking her leg calmly. He hated to bring this kind of tragic news news to his packmates, but it must be done.
"No fighter may leave camp or the plateau without three other wolves with them, and no trainee may leave the camp or plateau. We can't afford to injure anyone more. I fear the Kavari are in are lands, or they are hunting us down. Stay around camp and stay alert. Anyone who leaves camp alone, I wish you luck, you'll need it." He announced, only trying to scare them because he didn't want them leaving by themselves. He wished no one to be hurt by these cats, and he knew someone would think he was faking.
He gazed prominately out at his crowd, scanning the mass for any emotion. He saw Cora grinning deviously, as if glad the war was starting.
Edit: I realized it didn't make much sence... So I fixed it.

Cora snorted. Her packmates might need someone else with them, but she knew that she didn't. After all, she'd taken down a Kavari with no help from anyone. She'd be fine.
Jaden looked absolutely terrified. Her jade orbs were wide with horror. We can't leave camp and the plateau? The fighters can't leave with out at least three others? These Kavari really must be as dangerous as they are in those stories..., she thought, remembering being told the stories of the massive cats.

Natasha's smoky black ears twitched and she raised her chin a fraction. No fighter may leave camp without three other wolves with them... she repeated in her head. That sounds an awful lot like what Blade said durring the last war... She abruptly felt a painful twinge in her heart when she thought of the rock solid, selfless, brave leader of the Senya pack. He had died after sustaining serious injuries in the war, but he had led his pack to the end. We need more wolves like that. She thought wistfully. She glanced up to where Zephos stood, proud and fearless, delivering the message of imminent battle to his packmates. We need more wolves like Blade... and like Zephos. She thought, feeling a surge of pride for the strong leadership they had in the Senya pack.
Caliber's ears twitched and lay flat on her skull. No one leaves camp alone... she thought. He wouldn't order something like that lightly. This must be really bad. Despite the fear she was experiencing in her brain at that moment, she stood tall and lifted her chin defiantly. But if we have to fight to regain our freedom here in our own territory, that all I have to say is... Bring it. She bared her small, sharp teeth in a defiant snarl, her violet eyes blazing in determination.

"There is a battle looming, and we all must be as healthy as possible. We need to keep keen and fast. Trainees will need to fight, if need be, so remember: "In battle, no rank matters. Keep your pack alive."" He said, feeling guilty about how Blaq had to save him. A twinge of pessimism stirred.
"For centuries the Senya have used lithe, decisive moves, and for centuries we have survived. The cats are both strong and slinky. Some are rough and straightforward and some are smooth and quick. When battle comes, be sure to size up your enemy wisely." Zephos continued. He felt he was done now, but he kept his dominate and determined stance, tail broadly up and legs parted, as if ready to attack them at any moment.
In a way, he was. His shoulder was numb now, but he was surely scarred. He exhaled, loosening a little, and called out once more.
"Any critique?" he said, hoping to loosen anyones' concerns.
