A sizeable Maotu emerged from the forest, his large paws falling on the hot sand. He squinted as he entered the blazing sunlight, realizing how much he didn't want to leave the forest. He suddenly felt very hot, due to his very thick fur. He wasn't meant to live in the desert like this, he, along with the other cats, should be living in the forest. His hate for wolves suddenly flared, just like the sun. He was very close to the place where the Tribe had moved to on their way to the forest to kidnap certain members of the Packs. He didn't look around for his Tribemates, who would surely be very close. He walked several more pawsteps out into the desert, and then leaned over, letting the large she-wolf on his back, who was starting to wake up, fall onto the scorching sand. She let out a whimper, but rather than feeling pity, a small smirk formed on the large cat's face. And so the torture began....
A much younger cat followed the fighter. He squinted his golden eyes as he stepped into the sunlight. He set his paws down on the scorching sand. He recalled the cool, comfortable feeling of the sand under his paws when he was at the beach. He wished he and his uncle were back there, walking along the beautiful seashore with the sand of the ocean under their paws, rather than back here in the torturous desert. He was glad that he was born in the desert, and raised walking on the sweltering ground. If he hadn't been, he wouldn't be used to it now. He'd be like the wolf that his uncle that had just set down on the coarse, sizzling sand. He smirked as she whimpered pitifully.
The young cat watched as the she-wolf's amber eyes slid slowly open. She let out a moan. "Oh, oww.... Where's Frost when you need her...?" She whimpered pitifully. "Where am I...?" she asked, glancing around.
"And now the fun really begins," Shade murmured.
Amurheart looked back at his nephew. He almost smiled, but he quickly caught himself. He looked over at the wolf laying on the sand. "I guess so," he murmured.
The she-wolf pricked her ears at the sound of a feline-like voice. She shivered at the sound of a deep voice, that also sounded like a cat's. She moved her head enough to see a massive Maotu standing over her with a smaller, yet still sturdily-built young male standing next to him. If she were standing up, neither would seem so massive, but as she was laying on the ground at their paws, they seemed to tower over her like the trees back in her territory. She gazed at their long, sharp canines, which protruded from their mouths. Her eyes slid down toward their sharp claws, which were unsheathed. She would never admit it, but she was terrified. Her legs hurt so bad that she wanted to scream, and she knew that she could never defend herself against these Maotus. What would she do?
||OMG, I am SO loving this! xD||
