He was trapped, back leg pinned between the two rocks. He twisted as far as he could, felt the rock scrape through his skin and blood begin to run down his leg, twisted so far he thought he might snap the bone, but he couldn't break free. A soft, growling giggle made its way through his terror-clouded mind. Wide amber eyes focused on the face that had appeared above him, staring down at him like a vengeful angel. Dark grey fur, almost black, broken by a diagonal slash of pure crimson. Two smoke-silver eyes, with the flat stare of a viper. "Why, Rhoen," the voice purred. "Fancy seeing you here." White-hot fear drove through his mind, and he scrambled to get away. But the rocks had him, they wouldn't let go, they were trapping him there. He dug his front paws into the crack high above him, pulling with all his might- but it hurt so much, his leg was going to break if he kept it up. A small grey paw reached down to rest on his shoulder. "Don't worry," the gray wolf purred. "I'll help you." He let go, almost crying with relief. He was going to be saved, be helped out of this horrible... Then the wolf's expression went cold, and he lunged forwards, ivory teeth tearing. He had time for one last, terrible scream, and then the wolf's teeth were in his throat, and everything was gone.
"No!" Rhoen screamed, jolting awake in the dimness of the den. He sat there panting, his sides heaving, gasping for air. Amber eyes stared at nothing, absolutely blank with shock. I just dreamed of my own death. he could feel himself shaking and took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. It might not be for a while- remember the blizzard? You dreamed about that in early autumn. But the word were no comfort. And who had that wolf been? Rhoen had never seen him before, but he had borne the scent of the Kanaran pack. See? he told himself, standing up shakily. Nothing to worry about. It won't happen for a long while. But now he had to live with the knowledge that, unavoidably, sometime in the future, he would be murdered.

A golden-tipped ear flicked as the wolf to which it was attached stirred. A pair of aqua-green eyes flickered open. The wolf lifted his head, and looked around the den, searching for the source of the noise which had woken him. He noticed Rhoen nearby, looking unusually alert for a wolf at this time.
"Is everything okay, Rhoen?" he asked his fellow fighter quietly, careful not to wake his packmates. His voice was always quiet, although at times when any other wolf should lower their volume, he felt he should, too, despite the fact that it wasn't quite necassary.

"Eek! What?" Rhoen jumped about a foot in the air. He landed with her fur bristling in all directions, ears flat back and eyes staring. Then he identified the speaker, and realized that it wasn't some mysterious wolf coming to kill him already. The mottled blue wolf took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, but he could still feel panic fluttering deep within his heart. "Oh, yes, I'm fine," he said, trying to appear nonchalant but failing horribly.
A soft, growling giggle made its way through his terror-clouded mind. Wide amber eyes focused on the face that had appeared above him, staring down at him like a vengeful angel. Dark grey fur, almost black, broken by a diagonal slash of pure crimson. Two smoke-silver eyes, with the flat stare of a viper."Why, Rhoen," the voice purred. "Fancy seeing you here."
The Fighter gulped nervously, pressing his eyes closed in an attempt to block out the impending wave of terror. "It was just a nightmare, that's all," he whispered. 'Just a nightmare'. What a joke.

((I hope it's alright that I join in. ^.^))
Eyelids lifted to reveal rather sleepy blue eyes. Black auds flickered listening to two males speaking somewhere in the den. The she-wolf blinked the sleepiness from her orbs before lifting her head from her paws. She soon recognized the moving shadows in the den. She yawned and sat up, licking her chest fur. "After all the racket that you were making do you expect anyone to believe that?" She asked softly. She wasn't trying to sound mean but it probably came across like that. Kissa lifted a backpaw and scratched at one of her ears. From the sounds Rhoen was making all night he no doubt had a nightmare. "Obviously something you dreamed about must have frightened you." She said, orbs peering up at him.

"Yeah, it did frighten me," Rhoen said softly. A giggle of nervous laughter escaped his throat, and he strangled it quickly. 'It did frighten me'? Understatement of the century, right there. He looked away, knowing that the other wolves would probably want a better explanation than that. But what do I say? If I tell them I dreamed of my death, they'll say it was just a bad dream. And I can't make them understand without going into the whole thing with Ilion... He shivered, amber eyes moon-round. After a moment, he looked up again. "I dreamed... that I was watching one wolf murder another one... And the dead wolf looked kind of like me..." It wasn't exactly how the dream had happened, but if he said any more the other Kanarans would think he had lost his mind. Maybe I have. The thought chilled him, and he shuddered again. Of course not!

Elle smirked in the corner where she slept. She had been awake to hear the whole conversation, and she had to admit that Rhoen was a freak. She smiled to herself. Loser. She thought. But it was worth a try. She worked on her best troubled look and stared into the darkness, her head still on her paws as if she was still asleep, trying to locate Rhoen. She didn't exactly know much about him, but it was worth all she had, which was not much.
"What's up?" She asked, faking a groggy awakening, yawning delicately afterwards. She knew that Aero and Kissa were up, and the both of them were smart enough not to fall for anything she did, but Rhoen? She didn't know him enough to say.

Aero nodded as Rhoen and Kissa spoke. "Yeah... it was just a dream," he agreed, not thinking much of it. His jaws parted in a huge yawn. A moment later, they closed, and he rested his head on his forepaws. His eyes slid closed, but reopened immediately at the sound of Elle's voice. He looked over at her. He closed his eyes again, but not all the way. He watched her closely, although his eyes were barely open, so that no one would notice. What would she do? Would she try to take advantage of Rhoen, like she'd done to him and Smoldre? Probably. So, the male waited, hoping that the she-wolf would regard Rhoen's disturbance as a meer nightmare and go back to sleep.

Rhoen cast a nervous glance over into the corner where Elle was apparently waking up. Great. Now there are even more wolves to witness how I've gone insane. "Oh, nothing," he said listlessly. "I had a nightmare." He looked back over at Kissa and Aero, and hoped that they wouldn't ask too many questions if he suddenly decided to leave. He needed fresh air to clear his head, and a deserted clearing in the forest where he could sit and think this over calmly.

Kissa's auds twitched at the sound of another wolf's voice. 'Just wonderful.......Elle.' She thought before thinking about what Rhoen had said. Unlike some wolves, she didn't find him crazy only because he dreamed about a wolf, very similar to himself, being killed by another wolf. Some dreams and nightmares came true and she hoped that Rhoen's nightmare wasn't one of them. Kissa could clearly see that Rhoen was nervous. 'Does he believe his nightmare will come true?' The thought made her curious but she refrained from asking any questions.

A deep, annoyed growl rumbled deep in Flaer's throat where she lay close to Aero. It wasn't a sound she usually made, unless she was annoyed. And she was annoyed. Sleep was what she enjoyed most, and someone was disturbing it. Shifting slightly and twitching her shoulders, she lifted her head a little and said. "What's with all the racked? Did the Kavari attack camp while I was sleeping?"

Aero sighed as he lay there with his aqua-green optics barely open.
"What's with all the racket? Did the Kavari attack camp while I was sleeping?"
Aero almost gave a small smile at Flaer's words. He couldn't get over how she and Crimzyn were so alike, and yet, at times, could be so different. His dream was coming back to him, her beautiful face, her soft, kind voice.... She had to be the most nonviolent, patient wolf that ever lived. Even if she was ever annoyed, you could never tell. It was strange, but Aero didn't mind. He glanced over at Flaer, and flicked her shoulder lightly with his golden-tipped tail, as if telling her that nothing was wrong.

Kissa's auds perked at the sound of a low growl coming from another of her pack mates. Blue orbs scanned the den before spotting a wolf stir beside Aero. Kissa narrowed her orbs trying to make out the figure. When she finlly distinquished who it was the she-wolf had asked a question. Kissa lightly shook her head. 'We weren't that loud.' She thought cooly. She glanced at Rhoen and the others before deciding to take a walk out of the den; like Rhoen seemed like he wanted to do. She slid past all the other sleeping wolves and moved out into the empty clearing. She breathed in deeply before moving to stand in the middle of the clearing. She peered up before lightly sighing. 'Now I won't be able to go back to sleep, might as well look at the night sky...'

Elle had forgotton Everything that happened why she heard Flaer. She rolled her eyes. What a freak. Elle smiled grimly, and threw her plan into action immediately.
"What's with all the racket?" She repeated mockingly. Then, she scoffed at her.

Rhoen flinched as an angry growl came from further back in the den- but it was just Flaer, repeating the same question that all the others had. Rhoen wished that he had never decided to go to sleep last night. Then Elle repeated what Flaer had asked, a scoffing grin on her face. Rhoen shifted from paw to paw nervously, edging towards the exit of the den. "Like I said, it was just a dream."

Flaer's eyes narrowed and her ears flattened when she heard Elle's voice. She shifted into a tense crouching position, her hackles raised. A low growl slipped through her teeth. "Did you have something to say, dog?" She spat, her voice like splinters of ice.
Behind the mask of anger, she felt a twinge of annoyance. She shouldn't let Elle tick her off like this; it wasn't right. But her grumpy-at-being-woken-up anger coupled with Elle's persistently annoying presence make her more irritable than usual.
