Ahh.. The river. A calm getaway for even the most dreadful stories, and a place where Ju Ju was accully found settled down, pretty much because there was noone around to be crazy about. She slapped her tail in the water, no paying attention to the shiver that was sent down her spine because of the ice cold water. It was quiet, and Ju Ju was officially bored. She usually found entertainment in exploring the forest, but she had done that time and time again. Now all she could do was listen to the rippling water, waitintg for a soul to come and keep her company.

A yellow figure ambled slowly through the green foliage, his pawsteps heavy on the soft ground. The wolf, just a little young to be an elder, was taking one of his occasional walks through his pack's territory. His eyesight wasn't good, but it also wasn't gone. He could still smell and hear well enough, and he could see a bit. He could find his way through the forest.
I don't do this enough, he thought as he walked slowly, carrying the weight he'd gained since retiring. He couldn't run around or anything, for fear of crashing into something due to his failing sight.
He sniffed, and pricked his ears. He could scent cool, fresh water. He heard the gurgling and splashing of the river, and knew he was close. He also smelled a packmate. After thinking for a moment, he recognized the scent as Ju Ju's.
The wolf ambled onward, careful about where he stepped. He eventually reached the riverbank, and stopped altogether. He could see the edge of the bank ahead, and he didn't want to go any further. He didn't usually come to the river, but he felt a bit safer because one of his packmates was there to keep an eye on him.
He looked over at her, his foggy copper-colored eyes trained on the blurry shape of a wolf. He sat down, then lowered himself all the way, so that he was crouched down on his paws and legs. He looked across the river. He had an almost regal appearance, with his head situated upon his neck in an almost lion-like way. He then looked back over at Ju Ju.

The river didn't quite fill her boredom, but the smell of another Kanaran make her spine tingle. There was a chance to make her day, fun. She loved talking to other wolves, especially ones that enjoyed talking just has much as she did, which was very rare to find, but she didn't care. It was fun to see wolves of all different personalities...
She looked over at the male, smiled, and attemped to make conversation, because if she didn't she would burst.
"Hi! How are you doing?"

Fynch smiled as the younger wolf addressed him. "I'm... all right, I suppose," he said. He didn't want to dwell on the subject of his failing sight. It would seem as if he was taking part in self-pitying. He didn't want to do that. "How are you?" he inquired pleasantly. It was nice to see wolves with as much energy as Jewels. He often wished he could go back to the days when he was able to run freely through the forest.
