Moonshard jumped like she had been bitten. "No, nothing's wrong." Her words came out too fast, and even she could hear the lie in it. The black wolf bowed her head, her breath sending tiny grains of sand spinning along the beach. "I'm just... tired, that's all."

Malik eyed her curiously, if was obvious she was lying by how quick her words came out. Then she insisted she was tired. He shrugged, accepting it, though he had a feeling it wasn't true. She seemed worried or sad not tired. "You don't look tired but I could be wrong." He commented.
((Now I don't know what he coud say.......XD))

"No," Moonshard answered bravely, furiously blinking away the tears that had welled in her eyes. "It's... I'll be all right in a minute." She felt ahamed with herself for showing such weakness in front of another wolf. And a loner, nonetheless, she thought bitterly. Finally she looked up, dry-eyed. "I'm okay now, thanks."

Malik watched her look around at anything by him. 'I am not going to get into her personal business.' He though to himself noticing her glance up at him. "Your......welcome?" There was a small hint of confusion in his voice. Was there really a reason to thank him?

Moonshard flicked an ear as Malik spoke. She thought she detected a hint of confusion in his voice. Why would he be confused? ...Is it because I thanked him? I suppose that was a little weird... She shrugged. Oh well. The sun was warm on her black pelt, and the Senya shifted her paws on the sand. "Well..."

Malik looked away from her and to the sun slowly making its way towards the horizon. It was past noon now and guessed she would probably want to leave soon. Her pack may be looking for her. He didn't say a single word to her though. He couldn't decide what to do for her. He peered at her out of the corner of his eye, curious as to what she was going to say.

The loner looked away, and Moonshard shifted her paws uncomfortably. She had been away from camp far too long already, and they might be looking for her. What would Zephos and Natasha say if she was found talking with a loner...? She didn't know, but she could guess that they wouldn't bee too happy. The black wolf sighed and darted a glance towards Malik. He seemed to still be studying the horizon. I know I should leave, but somehow... I don't want to... She ducked her head quickly, ashamed of the thought. But finally common sense won out, and she raised her head regretfully. "I think I should probably leave now. My pack will be looking for me."

Malik peered at her once more. His eyes suddenly filled with an almost lonely look. In a way, he didn't want her to go but his instincts told him that she had to go. He didn't quite understand the pack ways but if they were like he thought, they would become very worried especially with the increase of Maotu activity. He curtly nodded. "You're right. I don't think your alpha would happy about you talking with me." There was a hint of sadness in his voice even though he was trying to hide it.

Moonshard shifted uncomfortably, her movement dislodging a tiny stream of sand from above one paw. Now it trickled down her black fur with a curious tickling feeling, and settled to join millions of others on the shore. The dark wolf sighed. "Yes, I've been gone far too long already. They'll be looking for me." But despite the words indicating a wish for detachment, she found herself wishing she could... stay. Why-ever could that be? She searched her brain for some memory of the time when she had decided that she liked it here, just across the border from the lands where she had been raised, with this... nice wolf... Okay, that was quite enough! Furious with herself, she turned rather sharply away from Malik. Definitely time to leave, before she found herself warming to the loner anymore. You're an idiot, Moonshard.

Malik stared at her, never letting his gaze stray away. His heart didn't want her to go but his brain was saying she had to go. It was almost as though there was a debate going on inside. Back and forth; back and forth. His stomach twisted uncomfortably from this. 'She has to go and there's no way I could change that.' He noted amoungst his jumbled thoughts. They were both from different sides of the border which, in this area, was a big deal. Packs wolves weren't suppose to associate with any wolves outside of thier pack. It was risky enough for Moonshard to cross her pack's border let alone speak with him. Both of them could get into deep trouble for even saying hi which, in his opinion, was stupid. Moonshard swiftly turned away from him heading in the direction of the Senya lands. It was rather sudden and he felt somewhat hurt by it. 'She didn't even say goodbye.' He thought grimly before realizing how idiotic he sounded. 'Why in the world would that matter?!?'
